国际学生探访九江：在历史街巷中感知中国文化魅力

九江，8月8日电 —— 8月7日，yl23411集团两名国际学生身着中国传统服饰，走进浔阳区历史街巷，在古韵今风中沉浸式体验江西深厚的历史文化与城市活力。来自加纳的贾尼斯（JANICE NAYRA HAVOR）和阿富汗的纳吉拉（MIRZAIE NAJLA）先后游览了浔阳楼、烟水亭，漫步大中路历史文化街区，最后抵达琵琶亭，在网红打卡点“空白空间琵琶雕塑”前驻足留影。

“我感觉每一处地方都在讲述江西历史文化的不同故事。”纳吉拉在沿江游览后感慨道，“古建筑与现代桥梁的融合，很生动地展现了中国如何在传承传统的同时继续向前发展。”

纳吉拉表示，来中国之前她对中华传统文化了解不多，这次是她第一次如此近距离地体验。“穿上中国传统服饰让我感觉自己融入了当地文化，学习简单的舞蹈动作既有趣又难忘。”

当天的行程中，令她印象最深的是与琵琶弹奏者罗怡的交流。“听她讲解琵琶的历史和文化价值，让我明白了传统音乐不仅是一门艺术，更是传承民族精神与记忆的重要方式。”

对贾尼斯而言，这场文化之旅让她深切感受到江西厚重的历史积淀。她将锁江塔与雄伟的九江长江大桥形容为“过去与现在的精彩对话”，并称这次经历让她意识到“这片土地自古以来就是文化与商贸的交汇之地”。

在琵琶亭与当地学生的交流，让她从“被动观览转变为主动的文化对话”。她说，学生们热情讲解琵琶亭与白居易名诗之间的关联，“让唐代活了过来，一个下午仿佛穿越了千年”。

两名学生还在热门打卡点尝试了简单的传统舞蹈动作。哈沃分享道：“虽然脚步笨拙，但亲身体验这种艺术形式，哪怕只是片刻，也让我真切感受到通过肢体传递情感所需的功底与优雅。”

她特别提到，当地青年学子真诚的热情最令人感动。“在欢笑与耐心的教学中，他们让我看到江西的文化遗产不是尘封的古物，而是代代相传的鲜活力量。”

纳吉拉同样珍视与九江本地学生的交流。“他们的友善和热情让我倍感温暖，也让我在真实的对话中学到了书本上没有的中国文化。”她说，“今天的一切对我来说都是全新的、令人激动的、充满吸引力的。”

Int'l students explore cultural charm of Jiujiang

JIUGJIANG, 8 August: Two international students from Jiujiang University immersed themselves in the city's profound history and culture on 7 August as they toured Xunyang District, experiencing the living traditions of Jiangxi.

JANICE NAYRA HAVOR from Ghana and MIRZAIE NAJLA from Afghanistan, dressed in traditional Chinese costumes, visited Xunyang Tower and Yanshui Pavilion, strolled through Dazhong Road historic blocks to experience the unique vitality of the old town, and concluded at Pipa Pavilion where they encountered the popular viral White Space Pipa sculpture.

"I felt as if every place was telling a different story about Jiangxi's history and culture," said MIRZAIE NAJLA, reflecting on the journey along the Yangtze River. "The combination of ancient architecture and the modern bridge beautifully reflected how China preserves its traditions while continuing to develop."

NAJLA, who noted she was unfamiliar with Chinese traditional culture before arriving in China, said this was her first opportunity to experience it so closely. "Wearing traditional Chinese clothing made me feel connected to the local culture, and learning a few simple dance movements was both enjoyable and memorable."

The day's highlight for her was meeting Pipa master Luo Yi. "Listening to her explain the history and cultural value of the Pipa helped me understand that traditional music is not only an art but also a way of preserving the spirit and memories of a nation."

For JANICE NAYRA HAVOR, the immersion journey offered a profound encounter with Jiangxi's layered history. She described the Suojiang Pagoda and the mighty Jiujiang Yangtze River Bridge as creating "a striking dialogue between past and present," adding that the experience reminded her "how this region has long been a crossroads of culture and commerce."

Walking through Pipa Pavilion with local students transformed her experience "from passive observation into active cultural dialogue," she said, noting that their passionate explanations of the pavilion's connection to Bai Juyi's famous poem "brought the Tang dynasty to life, bridging a thousand years in a single afternoon."

The two international students also attempted simple traditional dance movements at the popular photo spot. "Though my steps were clumsy, the act of embodying this art form, even briefly, gave me visceral appreciation for the discipline and grace required to convey emotion through gesture," HAVOR shared.

She emphasized that the genuine warmth of their young guides left the deepest impression. "Through shared laughter and patient teaching, they revealed how Jiangxi's heritage is not a relic but a living force, passed down through generations."

NAJLA also valued her communication with local students from Jiujiang. "Their kindness and enthusiasm made me feel welcome and allowed me to learn about Chinese culture through real conversations rather than books," she said, noting that "everything I experienced today was new, inspiring, and deeply interesting."

Jiujiang University has been actively organizing such immersive cultural activities, including visits to tea expos and museum events, to provide international students with valuable opportunities to explore local history and customs, fostering cultural exchange and mutual learning between young people from China and across the globe .

HAVOR concluded that "cultural understanding flourishes not in textbooks but in human connection—in the stories exchanged, the dances attempted, and the perspectives shared."
