FIS of Jiujiang University's Publishes 2026 Medical Newsletter Showcasing Student Academic Excellence
JIANGXI, June 22 – The Faculty of International Studies (FIS) at Jiujiang University has officially released its Medical Newsletter 2026, a student-led publication that highlights the academic and creative endeavors of international medical students at the institution.
The newsletter features a diverse collection of medical articles, campus event reports, editorial reflections, and faculty messages, all contributed by students across different year groups. The publication is designed to foster academic communication, encourage leadership, and strengthen teamwork among international students pursuing medical education in China.
The editorial team was entirely student-run, with Muhammad Saad Ullah serving as Captain for the 2024–2026 term, succeeded by Toheed Aqdas as Captain from 2026 onward. Committee members — including Sewsen, Hamid Raza, Imad Hussain, and Abdul Ahad — worked collaboratively to uphold rigorous academic and editorial standards throughout the production process.

Jiujiang University, a comprehensive institution recognized by China's Ministry of Education, has been offering English-taught undergraduate programs in Clinical Medicine and Stomatology to international students since 2006. To date, the university's international student body has grown to over 1,600 students from 47 countries, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Zambia, with enrollment supported by Chinese government scholarships, provincial scholarships, and self-funded arrangements.

The university's clinical medicine program has earned accreditation from internationally recognized bodies such as the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), affirming that its training standards align with global medical education benchmarks.

Education observers note that student-run academic publications like the Medical Newsletter serve as valuable platforms for cultivating research aptitude, writing proficiency, and cross-cultural collaboration among future healthcare professionals. Such initiatives not only enrich the learning environment but also contribute to the broader internationalization of medical education in China.
